We are thrilled to announce the launch of the CO-VALUE project, funded by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme of the European Union. Spanning from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, CO-VALUE focuses on a co-creation and co-valorisation approach to strengthen societal engagement in knowledge valorisation.  

In today’s dynamic global economy, knowledge valorisation, turning research results into sustainable products and solutions for the public good, plays a pivotal role in driving economic growth. It addresses societal challenges, and maximises the impact of research and innovation investments. However, citizen involvement in these processes often remains limited. The CO-VALUE project aims to change that narrative by placing citizens and communities at the forefront of knowledge valorisation processes, alongside other stakeholders.  

Specifically targeting citizen innovation and collaboration, CO-VALUE will conduct experiments in two significant European territories: Alicante, Spain, and Emilia Romagna, Italy. These experiments will involve quadruple-helix stakeholders collaborating closely to co-design and execute initiatives aimed at fostering tangible and impactful changes. Through capacity development, learning, and practical experimentation, the project aims to make a lasting difference in the role that citizens play in knowledge valorisation processes.
