On Wednesday, May 7, CO-VALUE was proudly featured at the VI edition of InnovaFest, the Social Innovation Festival organized by students of the Master’s in Social Innovation and Change Dynamics at the University of Alicante. The event has grown into a dynamic platform for dialogue, creativity, and collective action around the most pressing social challenges of our time. 

With the active participation of our partner, the Alicante Science Park, CO-VALUE was introduced to the academic community and local innovation ecosystem. The project’s approach to involving citizens in shaping how research results generate social value resonated strongly with the festival’s spirit of co-creation and civic engagement. 

CO-VALUE’s mission aligns perfectly with the ethos of InnovaFest: promoting innovation rooted in community needs, and fostering collaboration among universities, public institutions, businesses, and civil society—the core of the quadruple helix model. The event offered a unique opportunity to share our experimentation plans in Alicante and Emilia-Romagna, where participatory processes are promoted to enhance citizen engagement for Knowledge Valorisation.

InnovaFest was an ideal setting to strengthen our connection with the university community and advance CO-VALUE’s vision of research that truly works for people.
