The workshops also changed the way the idea was developed. Citizens proposed automatic protection, verified user reviews and a system for checking whether websites and companies could be trusted. They also wanted the service itself to be transparent and independent.

Privacy was another major issue, with clear expectations about what data should be collected, why it was needed and how it could be deleted. The result was a much clearer picture of what would make the service useful and trustworthy.
