Taken together, Alicante five pilots demonstrate the practical value of putting citizens directly in connection with companies. Six companies and Atalayas Industrial Area worked with citizens to explore new products and services, discuss real concerns and develop ideas together. The aim was not just to collect opinions, but to use citizens’ experience to co-create products or design new services.

The workshops showed that this approach can produce very practical results. Citizens suggested new uses, identified problems that companies had not considered and raised important questions about trust, privacy, accessibility and affordability.

The experience also showed that good facilitation is essential, especially when the discussion moves from general ideas to concrete decisions. In three pilots it was carried out an additional workshop facilitated directly by Stickydot to ensure that consensus is not reached immediately..
